Make sure you are working with an Actionscript 2 project. If you put this code into an actionscript 3 project it will cause that error on line 18.

Also, this code will be looking for a movieclip in the library with a linkage name of MC_ball (right click on library item-&gt;linkage-&gt;identifier, make sure Export for actionscript is checked)</description>
